My 2004 Hit Song Is:

Vertigo by U2

"The night is full of holes
Those bullets rip the sky
Of ink with gold
They twinkle as the boys play rock and roll"

In 2004 you partied so hard... you forgot how to count.

Of course, I'm not familiar with any of the songs listed on this blogthing, and I was disappointed that they didn't have a choice for, say, Loreena McKennit... (g)

Medical Transcription Words of the Day: Today, I typed a chart note for a patient who came in with tremor. The note had considerable discussion of the patient's condition, and the following two phrases were new to me:

  • head titubation - a ticcing or twitching of the head, often seen in Wilson's disease or Parkinson's disease
  • saccadic eye movements - swift, jerky, voluntary eye movements which occur upon movement of the head or the body, most often seen when people are reading.

The cool thing about head titubation is that, if you watched House, MD last week, you saw a beautiful example of it at the beginning of the episode, when the patient and her son were in the social worker's office. I am very impressed with the way the medical consultants for that show do their job.

I was so happy to be back at work that I forgot to ask if we get Friday off. *giggles!*

Niceness: Saturday night, we stayed at my parents-in-law's house with them and watched The Sound of Music together. I so love listening to Julie Andrews sing!
