Our current mission is actually a short story being written by a 13-year-old girl named Billye for an English assignment. So relax, be imaginative, and just enjoy writing. :)
How it will work is, from time to time, John, Kevin, or I will write something for Billye. Billye will be "directing" the mission, and it will be our challenge to see how much fun we can have following Billye's directions. Here is an example of a "direction" Billye may give:
Billye stopped writing for a moment and considered what she wanted to happen next in her story. The Bajorian doctor is a nice guy; he should have a girlfriend, Billye thought.
If you see something like this posted by John, Kevin, or I, then that is a challenge to accomplish what Billye wants to happen. In the case of this example we all work together to do our best to get the doctor romantically involved. :)
Since this is a story being written, none of this mission will actually have occurred. John, Kevin, and I will be having fun giving all sorts of crazy directions with Billye this mission, and we hope you'll all have a great time with it, too.
I, by the way, write the Bajoran doctor. Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read this post, or I'd have splattered Dr. Pepper all over my monitor!
As Billye's story opens, our starbase has been destroyed in an explosion, and all of our characters had to evacuate in whatever we wore to bed. The CO and XO of the starbase and the CO and XO of our sister starship were on the starbase or otherwise presumed dead when the explosion occurred. My Bajoran CMO is now in command of the starbase crew and possibly also of the starship crew, unless he can delegate authority to one of their junior officers. He's the highest-ranking officer still around, so he got the job. He'll turn command over to someone else, eventually, but for the moment, I'm having fun and am running with it. :)
