The fantasy sequences, in which Hodges would imagine himself and Wendy in various Astro Quest episodes (based on "The Gamesters of Triskelion" and "The Menagerie" from classic Trek) had me rolling on the floor, laughing. Astro Quest is notable for the following features:
Fuschia and black uniforms (No, I'm not kidding. I wish I were.)
Fuschia everywhere, in fact
Awesome Sixties beehive hairdos
No six-foot tall babe in hot pants and silver hip boots, alas
Hodges looks good with hair!
Cooler tricorder than classic Trek had.
It was a totally wonderful and fun homage.
I like original CSI much better than CSI: Miami because Horation Caine isn't in it. I miss Callie, Delko, and Wolf, though.
Bones was particularly interesting because we learn something surprising about Dr. Sweets. Also, Dr. Gordon returns, to announce his retirement. We learn something surprising about him, too. And we also get exposed to a lot of Really Bad Death Metal. (I'm taking voice lessons; I can be a music snob, if I want. (g) )
