And I am not emotionally driven to write a story for it, at all. None of my characters are enthused. This sucks! I wonder if my problem is that Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Jean Lorrah have already written the stories to my satisfaction. Not sure. It might also be that the cultural basis for my vampires (South and Central America and Mexico) doesn't terribly interest me. Now, if I were writing about Irish vampires...I'm sure I could write a ton about them--if I could figure out their origins. What I like about the South American vampires is that I'm very clear about how they began.
I spent all day Sunday coming up with this idea, and...nothing.
The Weather Overhead: Today's weather is weird. It is extremely foggy, and the ground is covered with water, but there's no rain; it's just been mist. Apparently, it's dew. I could hear it dripping from the trees and houses this morning and took my umbrella to work--but it's not actually raining. Strangest thing I've ever seen.
It's in the 70's F. today but is expected to drop back down to the 30's or so on Monday. In Houston, it's never a good idea to pack away your summer clothing.
Life: Tomorrow, I'm to go Christmas shopping with my Mom down in Clear Lake. I'll ride the bus down; we'll spend the day at Baybrook Mall, and then my parents will bring me home. I may need to talk to Mark about that; see if he wants to see a movie down in Clear Lake tomorrow evening.
Ah, well, back to work.
