We'll be traveling to Taylor, Texas for the wake and funeral this weekend. Until then, we'll just go insane with cooking. I'm making stuffing, chocolate chip cookies, and a salad, but I'm vacillating about the stuffing. My SIL is making some, and she makes it very dry, the way her family has made it for years, and the way my MIL made it. I prefer a moister and fluffier stuffing, but I don't want to offend my SIL. I will talk to Mark's stepmother about this and see if she's sure she doesn't mind me bringing it.
Happily, the rules this year are: You make it; you take home the leftovers. I think that's fair. :)
