1 box of devil's food chocolate cake mix
1 cup of flake coconut
1 cup to 1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
8 oz cream cheese (soften)
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1 t. (teaspoon) vanilla
Preheat oven 325 degrees. Spray oil or grease with oil an oblong 9" x 13" pan. Spread the coconut & pecans on bottom of pan. Mix cake mix per package directions and pour over pecans & coconut. Melt the butter in a bowl and then add cream cheese, vanilla, & powdered sugar and mix with an electric mixer. Spoon with a tablespoon over cake. Swirl with your spoon just a little once all cream cheese mixture is in the pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes (no more, as the cream cheese mixture will become too dry). You may want to put a cookie sheet under your cooking pan in case the cake bubbles over a little (It hasn't happened to me). It will crater like an earthquake, but will taste great.
