Another Monday

I'm sitting here while Mark and Tom are watching 24. I'm eating a bowl of kachumber, a salad made of diced tomatoes, cucumbers, mint, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. It's tasty! I hope Mark isn't expecting there to be leftovers. (g)

I started reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter last night. It's amazing; I'm already into chapter 4, and we still haven't met Rita or Doakes. They haven't even been mentioned.

I saw Charlotte's Web Friday night, while Mark saw Hannibal Rising. I think I got the better deal. Besides, I had the amusement of knowing that, if Paul Graves had been among the crowd looking at Charlotte's web, he wouldn't have remarked upon Wilbur; he'd have said "Some spider."

He's more impressed by Lily Potter than by Harry, too. (g)

I've been hearing an interesting rumor about The Deathly Hollows. It gives me hope that Snape might not wind up dead. We'll see. Snape is the best character in those books. I really would hate to lose him.

Re 24--Hm! It looks like one of the guys in the White House is more honorable than I thought he was. I like that! Of course, he'll probably wind up dead before the 'day' is out, but still, I appreciate that he stood up for the right thing.

Er--Or...maybe not. Looks like this guy is getting sucked into the evil, anyway. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

It's good to see Alexander Siddig working. I'm very glad to see him on a mainstrea show. It's also good to see the guy who used to play McQueen on Space Above and Beyond is now on 24. It's good to see that starring in a science fiction show is no longer the death-knell to an actor's career that it seemed to be in the past.

Food: We ordered out from Jason's Deli for lunch last Friday. Looking over the menu, I noticed that many of the items were over 750 calories. O.O The ones which weren't told what the calorie count was. I was horrified. No wonder I'm not losing as much weight as I had hoped. Luckily, I was good and ate only a half-sandwich and a cup of soup. But still...Sheesh! Might as well stick to salad.
