Food: In the "Moderation is for Monks" department--Tonight's supper is grilled sausages with Bombay garlic pickle and macaroni and cheese. Very spicy! I feel like I've just had dinner at the Kyber Grill. My tongue is begging for mercy, and I still have several slices of sausage to go. I love Indian spices, though perhaps not in quite this much a quantity. And I have no sweet lhassi or yoghurt to cool things off with. Darn!

Work: Today was long and tiring; my eyes felt tired. I didn't get as much filing done as I wanted to, but at least I got some of it done. Back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Writing: matociquala said some things in her journal today which were very much worth remembering. She quotes Stephen Brust:

"When you finish a draft, it doesn't matter if it sucks. You have done something that 99% of the people who set out to write a novel will never do. What matters is not if it's good; what matters is that it's done. Because chances are, the first one won't be any good. But if you finish one, you can finish two. And the second one is likely to suck less than the first."

I think I can take some comfort in that while I work on the writing.
