For StarRise, I've created an editors' list, so that the poor masochists who have volunteered to edit stories can pick up stories from one place, edit them, then transfer them to the story distribution list. I hope this will improve things. Sending them to just my email address isn't working, because I'm very slow with it, and I hat emailing people and saying, "Would you mind editing this...?"
This way, I know they've all volunteered, and it just makes things easier all around, for the work to be spread out. I should have done this months ago, but I didn't think of it. It's such a simple idea, too.
I got the idea from Imperial Secrets, in fact, from the way their regents' lists are set up. Any member of, say, L'Isle, can write a letter to the L'Isle Regents, but only the regents themselves are members of the regents' mailing list, so the emails they send to and from each other are not visible to the regular members.
For StarRise, this means that every member can send a story to the OOTBS list, but only editors can discuss who will take what story, and so forth.
Re IMS--I hear our webmaster Car is resigning. Eeek! I don't know what's going to become of the website, now. I'm kind of biting my knuckles.
And I'm also about ready to thin, "No! Please don't tell me I created that backup website for nothing!"
Ah well, we'll see what happens.
