I like SAS. They make good shoes which fit my feet and last a long time. There's just one problem--variety. Going to SAS is like going to Marble Slab for ice cream. Where there used to be 31derful flavors, as it were, at Baskin-Robbins, there are now a much smaller number. At the SAS store today, I saw the exact same styles of shoes I have been wearing for the last ten years. I'm not kidding. They're still selling the beige moccasin style that I wore back in 1997 or earlier! They have maybe five styles of dress shoe, a couple of sandal styles, clogs, and leather tennis shoes.
I love SAS, but I am so tired of wearing the same styles. I think, for my next pair of summer shoes, I'm going to Naturalizer. They sell my size, and they have far more variety. Coffee milkshakes are great, but every once in a while, you want Daiquiri Ice. I am so in the mood for a Daiquiri Ice pair of shoes!
At Randall's, I also bought myself a Floppy Dog--or, as the brand is named in French, a Chien au Repos. It's a big stuffed dog with white fur, gold ears, and gold spots. His nose is brown velour. He's totally adorable! The lady at the cash register asked me if the dog was for myself or a gift, and I admitted to her that I couldn't decide. (g)
I also bought a carton of Southern Comfort Egg Nog. I look forward to trying that out this evening.
Mark and I are going out with Tom for pizza at Napoli's across the street. I'll give them my usual pizza order and see if they get it right. I like unusual ingredients on my pizza.
