I have a lot this year to be thankful for--my family, my husband, my friends, my health, and, very importantly, my job. I am very, very glad that I have not had to go another year without working. Since October 18 of last year, I have had employment of some sort. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, God and Goddess.
I am also thankful that I have finally gotten to serious work on my novel. I don't know if I will ever sell this book, but by God, I'm determined to at least make it the best-written novel I can and to work hard at selling it. And then to start work on the next one. My Uncle John made me promise him that I would not stop writing, and I will keep that promise.
Lastly, I am thankful for our troops both here and overseas, for helping to preserve others' lives, often at the cost of their own and to foes who are not worthy of them. I am grateful to live in a country whose ideal is that freedom be cherished.
