More Bills

Finances: I came home today and found two bills in my mail--one for my credit card and one for the lab tests my gynecologist ordered during my well-woman check-up. *sigh*

I suppose I could have waited until November 1 to pay them, but I wanted to get them out of the way, and they were small enough that I could afford to do that.

I may have to put off any Renfair plans until November, though. If I go now, I won't be able to do much more than buy a meal and a music CD, and that's what I've been doing for the past four years! *rolls eyes* Meaning, I refuse to dip into savings for Renfair spending money. There's no point in saving at all, if you spend it a couple of months after you deposit it.

Work: My training ended today. Apparently, I did well enough that my trainer didn't think she needed to stay for the half-day tomorrow, which is good news. But I'm going to have so many telephone calls to return tomorrow morning. Bleah! I have a bad feeling that I'll probably spend my entire morning tomorrow on the telephone. *looks gloomy*

The good news is, I can get out of receptionist mode, which is the mindset that compels me to answer every telephone call I get when the phone rings. If I can just have a certain time of the day when I don't take calls, maybe I can manage my time better. *looks a bit more hopeful*

Renfair? Y'all have a Renfair down there? I'll have to come and crash it one year, then.

Dave--In case I haven't said so before, that is the coolest icon!

Yep, we have the Texas Renaissance Festival, which takes place every year in Magnolia, Texas. I'll see if I can find the URL for you!

Be prepared to spend money, though. All the vendors have to pay the owner of the land a certain percentage of what they earn, so they have to jack up their prices accordingly. The food is good, though, and there is a lot to see! And the music is very, very good! (g)
