If you could take an all-expense-paid two-week vacation to anywhere in the world with one friend or partner, where would you go and who would you take?

Hm! I could take my friend gypsy_anna to see our friend vdansk in Massachusetts. Or I could take either caersidi or quietlyurban to Ireland. Or I could take my friend baghdaelf to Hawaii with me.

I already have plans to take my husband somewhere, so I didn't include him in this. :)

Writing: Last night, I corrected the formatting on the Zanjen story. Tonight, I'm looking it over and marking off spots where the story needs revision. Mostly, these are places where the story needs better, more vivid detail. I originally wrote the pieces on a deadline of a week or so. Now that I'm able to edit at my leisure, I'm finding all of those spots and realizing how sparse some of the descriptions were. I'm seeing where the story doesn't satisfy me, and I look to add interesting things.

I also like the fact that I'm finding logic holes to correct that slipped my mind in the hurry of the original writing. I'm enjoying this, and I'm looking forward to fixing them and creating the final product.

I'm also looking for venues in which to submit a novelette-length work of dark fantasy. Maybe this story could be accepted for a Hallowe'en issue of something. I'll keep looking.

Mark suggests that I write a few more fantasy stories and publish them all in an ebook. What do the rest of you think? I honestly would rather go through the "peer review" of an editor rather than just write something with editing from friends and hope to produce something that will meet professional standards.

TV: I'm loving the new commercial about the little girl with the lemonade stand whose Dad leaves his iPhone with her, and she starts a massive lemonade business with it. Very cute and much fun!
