Many, many thanks to all of you for your kindness and prayers for my family and me at my Grandma Smith's death. I appreciate you all for thinking of us.

We'll be traveling to Taylor, Texas for the wake and funeral this weekend. Until then, we'll just go insane with cooking. I'm making stuffing, chocolate chip cookies, and a salad, but I'm vacillating about the stuffing. My SIL is making some, and she makes it very dry, the way her family has made it for years, and the way my MIL made it. I prefer a moister and fluffier stuffing, but I don't want to offend my SIL. I will talk to Mark's stepmother about this and see if she's sure she doesn't mind me bringing it.

Happily, the rules this year are: You make it; you take home the leftovers. I think that's fair. :)

Current Music: "Once Upon a December" - from 'Anastasia'

German has a word for everything, like ohrwurm. Translated literally as "earworm" in English, it's the word for songs that get stuck in your head and won't go away. What earworm of a song do you most dread burrowing into your head?

"There's a Hole in My Bucket" *weeps*

Also,
"Hotel California" - Best earworm EVER!
"Billie Jean"
The "my lovely lady lumps" song when I had to endure it on my co-worker's radio every day.
"Gangsta's Paradise" - not bad
"Tourdion Magdelani" (instrumental
"Thriller"
Various medieval instrumental pieces from SCA days
The "I ain't no Harlem black girl" song when...as above.
"Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" - not bad
"Whip It" - not bad
