Writing: It's amazing to me, the amount of help The Science Channel has been in providing inspiration for this story. I've developed the gods' mythos in more detail and spent some time on Saturday thinking about it. I think there is something deeper to the evil deity, Ilviak, than mere emphasis on suffering, but I haven't quite figured out what it is. The good thing, though, is that he's speaking to me now, which he never has before. He 'informed' me that the mythos is something humanity invented, and they got the facts all wrong.

Yeah, I know, typical evil deity BS, but in this case, it's true. I look forward to working more on it tonight.

TV: Last night's Dexter was interesting. I wonder how much longer Paul Bennett has to live? I also watched a litle bit of The Battle for Rome, but mainly, I was in my bedroom working on Quest.

Lisa sends me amusing things in the email...Erm--amusing if you're a woman, anyway! Please let it be known that I adored my mother-in-law :)

A woman was leaving a convenience store with her morning coffee when she
noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery.

A long, black hearse was followed by a second long, black hearse about 50
feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary woman
walking a pit bull on a leash. Behind her, a short distance back, were
about 200 women walking single-file.

The woman couldn't restrain her curiosity. She respectfully approached the
woman walking the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss. I know now is
a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like this.
Whose funeral is it?"

"My husband's."

"What happened to him?"

The woman replied, "My dog attacked and killed him."

She inquired further, "Well, who is in the second hearse?"

The woman answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my husband
when the dog turned on her." A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two women.

"Can I borrow the dog?"

"Get in line."

Congratulations on your multifarious vocabulary!
You must be quite an erudite person.

I'm not even going to bother doing the meme as Paul; the man is a walking thesaurus.

Which reminds me...'Thesaurus.' What species of lizard is that?

Music: Seen in deannahoak's journal: A link to an article about a t-shirt that senses your air guitar playing and turns it into music.

What will they think up next?
