Writing: Since last night, I have been channeling a weird character named Domenic Serez in my head. I think it's time for him to take a nap, now.

Sick Ickies: I'm feeling much better now. I just ate the fried rice that was left over from that trip to the Vietnam Restaurant. Delicious! And since rice is part of the BRAT diet, I have hopes that It won't make me sick again.

Medical Transcription Word for the Day: Spasmodic Dysphonia - This is a disease affecting the speech areas of the brain, such that you can't speak unless you contort your voice in some way or speak in rhyme. Scott Adams, the Creator of "Dilbert," has had this since 2005 and has now had something of a recovery. It can't be cured, but it can be treated with breathing and vocal exercises.

Instead of Dakmir, I will be working on a story called The Twice-Failed Quest for NaNoWriMo. I want to use the LOCK method for writing it, and since I discarded the plot idea I had for Dakmir, it doesn't have a strong lead character at the moment. I need to rework the whole idea. So the quest story is what I'm going with. I am still working on The Boy from the Sea, but that too is needing a lot more thought before I devote intensive writing to it.

Brandie--I'll see you at the NaNo party tomorrow, and I'll be wearing a LiveJournal t-shirt. Hope to see you there!

Suse--I thought you might find this reply to the latest LJ News post amusing.

I swear, any time anyone mentions undead to me, that whole IMS story arc flashes before my eyes. (g)
