Breakfast: I tried breakfast at the hospital across the street from my office today. It wasn't bad--bacon, two eggs over easy, and a pancake--but it wasn't great, either, though I did get a lot of food for only about $3.00. I think I'll go back to Rose, who runs the little snack shop in my office building, tomorrow. She makes little scrambled egg sandwiches made with toast, which I like, and they're hotter than the food I got from the hospital. Heights Hospital does serve good lunches, though. I had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich for lunch today, and it was great!

Books: My copies of A National Party No More and Deficit of Decency by Zell Miller arrived today from Amazon. I look forward to reading them.

Music: I've decided that, if the budget permits, I want to start taking voice lessons--that is, if this apparently permanent allergy hasn't ruined my voice yet. :P

I had a nice conversation with a lady named Diana today. She sings in our local Diocesan choir, and that choir apparently has a very competent director who knows how to classify voices. They require their singers to re-audition every year to remain in, and the Diocesan choir has about 70 members. I was impressed.

Maybe, if I practice hard enough, I'll be able to sing Hildegard before I die. (g)

TV: Quentin Tarantino is directing the season finale of CSI, which will air on May 19. Oh, I want to see this...

Braille: Braille practice continues. I discovered some corrections I need to make in my usage, so that was good to find out. I think I will ask to start on Book #3 next week when I return from Austin.

Family: Mark got a job lead from our friend Clint, so I hope that will turn into something.

My Mom is sick with some kind of respiratory bug; she called me last night and sounded awful. She and Dad are going to Austin over the weekend, but they'll be back in Houston before Mark and I leave for Austin. I almost wish we were going to San Antonio, because I love the Riverwalk there.

Writing: I worked on Paul's Avada Kedavra story last night. I might take the weekend off from some of my other pursuits to devote some concentrated time to it. I really want to write this story well. I think I will also take out my copy of Writing the Breakout Novel and refer to it, just to do whatever I can to improve the story. It's silly to take such trouble over a story that I can never sell professionally, but I just want to write this, so here I am.

Quizzage:

Rise
Your wise quote is: "Our greatest glory is not
in never falling, but in rising everytime we
fall" by Confucius.
Yes indeed, you see true strenght can only be
seen when a person has "fallen". Only
then one can tell how they will handle it. Just
don't make others fall so you can know who they
really are. You on the other hand may be a very
quick recoverer and don't let people bring you
down. You are your own, and you're find with
that. Emotional issues is something you handle
rather nicely.
