Jump back November 1st, 2002 Go forward

Normally, I don't believe in posting political commentary here; I leave that to the folks at Blogger.com. But I have to make an exception for writer Peggy Noonan, when she says something especially profound.

This is a link to her Wall Street Journal column commenting on the memorial service held for deceased Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone that took place this past Wednesday. The memorial turned into a political rally as much as anything else, which displeased members of Wellstone's own party. Noonan uses her article to say some important things about the nature of politics and factionalism.

I didn't know she wrote a weekly column, and I love her writing. I'll have to go and find more of it!
