The Dream On Diet

At the Doctor's: Today I went to Dr. B's office. She was pleased that my BP had gone down to 120/80 but was not satisfied. I guess, because I'm a small person, she wants it down lower. I lost 1/2 pound over the past month. She wants me to continue with dieting and an exercise regimen. My next appointment with her is in three months.

November 28, 2005.

She must be really, really serious about the diet, to schedule my next appointment for the Monday after Thanksgiving!

I consider this a challenge. *wicked look* Bring it on!

Kudos to you for getting your bp down to 120/80. Those sound like good numbers to me! But, I guess it's a good thing that your doc is looking at you as an individual and not just going by text book standards. That's rare! :-) Good luck with the diet. You sound like me in the regard of having a challenge. All you gotta do to get me to do something is insinuate I might not be able to. Stubborn much? :p

CP--Heh...Yeah, after I got over being mildly miffed ("But geeze, 120/80 is normal!") I figured my doctor wants my BP down to what it was when I first started seeing her, when my weight was 112 lbs. I've always had low blood pressure, so I really wanted to do everything I could to get it back down to what it used to be. So I agree, kudoes to my doctor for looking at the individual instead of the average.

In the meantime, I need to go on some kind of weight-lifting regimen to build up muscle and (I hope) burn off fat.

I just have to lose enough so that Thanksgiving won't ruin it all. (g)

Yay, you! Keep it up.
