It's a good point. Mark said he had been planning to write a caustic opinion piece about the Space Shuttle program and how it hasn't worked. But Bradbury's advice has changed his mind. He says that he will mention some of the problems, but that he wants to change the tone of his article, now.
I like that. Love comes through. He could write a blistering article that would start lots of flamewars, etc. But the audience I think Mark really wants to reach is the audience of people who love space and the challenges of space exploration. Those are the ones whose hearts he wants to touch. As for others--you appeal to more flies with honey than with vinegar. I think love will change more minds than disgust and anger ever will.
